    In a society where litigation seems like the norm, how can CRE professionals protect themselves and their company from lawsuits and a potentially denied insurance claim? It starts with understanding the elements of risk and how all contracts assign responsibility and a duty of care. Well designed and written contracts are the key to assigning responsibility to the proper party and making sure the financial assets are there when a loss is incurred.  Take a deep dive into the rarely understood (even by some lawyers) area of risk and insurance.
